Martha Anne Stewart McFadden ROCK HILL - Mrs. Martha Anne Stewart McFadden, 81, of Rock Hill, died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Pruitt Healthcare. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert O. Moss officiating. Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. McFadden was the daughter of the late John Stewart and Hazel Wright Stewart. She was an active member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and sang in the choir. She was a 1951 graduate of Winthrop Training School and a 1955 graduate of Winthrop College. She previously worked in technical services for Winthrop University Library. Mrs. Mc-Fadden was the widow of the Honorable Robert Lawrence McFadden. She is survived by her son, Larry McFadden (Marie) of Clover, S.C.; daughter, Sarah Anne "Sally" McFadden Pattee (Phillip) of Lansing, Kansas; her sister, Sarah Stewart of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren, Robert, Ren, Jackson, Ross, Ekaterina (Jeff), Andrew, Michael and Caroline and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Emily. The family will receive friends following the service in the church narthex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made in Mrs. McFadden's name to the Winthrop University Library, 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 421 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
