SMITH, Marjorie T., 83, went home to be with the Lord July 15, 2007. Born in Soperton, Ga., she lived in Tampa for 40 years before retiring to Lake Wales, Fla., in 1989. She was a member of Golfview Baptist Church in Lake Wales and a dedicated volunteer at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Herbert M. Smith; daughter, Mary Halphen, and husband, Paul; sons, David Smith, and wife, Mari Lu, and Danny Smith, and wife, June; grandchildren, Paul Halphen IV, Casey, Lauren and Kristen Smith. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, with 11:30 a.m. graveside services. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Lake Wales at Golfview Baptist Church, 107 Hibiscus Drive.
