MARJORIE McCOY -GOLDEN, CO - Marjorie M. McCoy, 84, of Golden, Colorado, formerly of Keyser, WV, died Wednes day, January 14, 2009 in Denver, CO. Born on February 9, 1924 at Hazleton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (McGinty) McGuire. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert W. McCoy on July 13, 2001. Mrs. McCoy was for merly employed as a registered nurse, but her main profession in life was that of a loving homemaker, being entirely devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a graduate of the Fitzgerald- Mercy School of Nursing in Darby, PA and was a devoted member of the Church of the Assumption, Keyser. Surviving are her children, Robert Andrew McCoy of Tucson, AZ, Mary Catherine McCoy of Palm Bay, FL, Joseph Patrick McCoy and wife Maryann of Tempe, AZ, Margaret Anne McCoy and husband Doug Egan of Golden, CO, Kathleen Marie McCoy of Philippi, WV, Frances Elizabeth Rosedale and husband Jeffrey of Keyser, Christopher Michael McCoy of Tucson and John Dennis McCoy and wife Michele of Hingham, MA; and seven grandchildren, Kevin P. Askeland, Casey M. Askeland, Robert J. McCoy, Angela M. McCoy, Madeline M. McCoy, Jack McCoy and Yulia C. McCoy. The rosary will be recited at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption on Saturday, January 24th, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ivan M. Lebar, T.O.R. as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Keyser. Following the graveside committal services, the family will be hosting a luncheon at the Smith Funeral Home Bereavement Center, 107 S. Main Street in Keyser. The family wishes to invite everyone to any part of the services that day, whether it be the rosary at the funeral home, Mass at the church or the meal to follow. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Hospice of Saint John, 1320 Everett Court, Lakewood, CO 80215.
