Marjorie Jane Flanagan - SAVANNAH - Marjorie Jane Flanagan, 92 passed away on April 10, 2014 at The Oaks at the Marshes of Skidaway Island. She was born December 31, 1921 in Savannah, GA to the late N.M. Kennedy and Maude Kennedy. She was married to George M. Flanagan on December 28, 1947 in St. John's Episcopal Church in Savannah, GA. They shared 66 wonderful years together. Mrs. Flanagan attended local schools and was a participant at South Business College, formerly known as Draughon's Business College. Mrs. Flanagan moved with her husband to McIntosh County, Ga. While living there, she served as Office Manager for the Eulonia Office of International Paper Co. Upon moving back to Savannah, she held the position of Office Manager for her husband's Business as well as Bekins Moving Company (formerly known as Arrow Van Lines). Mrs. Flanagan was a gourmet cook. She was an avid golfer and fisherman. She loved to catch crabs and play bridge. She took pride in making handmade shrimp cast nets for her friends and family. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church before becoming a charter member of Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Flanagan is survived by her husband George Flanagan, a niece and nephew, Jane McIntosh of Savannah and Robert Warnock (wife Dorothy) of Houston, TX and 11 great nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of The Oaks at the Marshes on Skidaway Island for their loving care and concern for nearly 6 years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
