MacALLISTER, MARJORIE E. The death of Marjorie Elaine MacAllister, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 10th, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Clark) Barrett and wife of Robert B. MacAllister. Marjorie was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed her family. She loved flowers and spent many hours working in her garden. She was also known for her many years of dedication to the poppy campaign. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Fredericton; children, Dixie Mitchell (Galen) of Fredericton and Edison Arnold (Lorna) of Peterborough, ON; step-children, Robert B. MacAllister (Lisa) of Fredericton, NB, Keith MacAllister (Gail) of Bath, ON, and Lynn Joy (Wayne) of Ottawa, ON; nine grandchildren; brothers, William Barrett (Jean) of Fredericton and Stanley Barrett (Sue) of Lincoln, NB; sisters, Geraldine Dewar (Jack) of Peterborough, ON, Joyce Matthews of Fredericton, Barb Bird of Fredericton and Jo Gillies (Gerald) of Lincoln, NB and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2005 at 2:00 p m from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Cathcart officiating. A Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #4 tribute will be held at the memorial service. Interment will be at the Red Bank Cemetery in Chipman, NB at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Shriner's Transportation Fund.
