ROE Roe, Marjorie E. McFetridge, 82, of Plantation passed away on April 25, 2002, at home surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born in Princeton, IN, on Nov. 20, 1919. She was married 45 years to Dallas McFetridge of Princeton, IN. As the wife of a naval officer she witnessed the bombing of Pearl Harbor. She was widowed in 1983 and met and married John S. Roe in 1988. She was an active member in many civic and service organizations as well as a mother of five and a longtime caregiver of her predeceased mother. She was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Laud., a certified professional secretary, vice-president of Ft. Laud. Women's Club, president of the Ft. Laud. chapter of Soroptimist Int'l, president of Retired Officers' Wives of America, member of Phi Sigma Alpha, several bridge clubs, and a member of Ft. Laud. Country Club. She loved traveling, playing bridge, reading, dancing, sports, and people. Her joy was to be surrounded by her dear friends and loving family. Marjorie was an adored wife, mother, and grandmother who will be forever remembered for her sense of humor, kindness, generosity, and extreme courage in the face of adversity. She is survived by her soulmate and beloved husband, John, her treasured children, Jack (Juanita) McFetridge of Great Falls, MT. Margo (Russ) Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, Bonnie (Dan) Blix of Roswell, GA, Peggy Ullmann of Ft. Laud., Betsy Eyerman of Plantation, her grandchildren Lee Johnson, Denise McNiel, John Ullmann, Jennifer Turner, Susan Blix, and Chad McFetridge. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In celebration of her life, remember to cherish family and friends and look for the good in everyone. Into God's loving arms we consign Marjorie and may her gentle soul rest in peace. Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society, Liver Foundation, or a favorite charity in her memory. Neptune Society Cremation. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Laud, on May 4, 2002 at 11:00 AM.
