She was a resident of Greenville, NC for 74 years.A Witness to the Resurrection service, in memory of Marjorie Clark, will be held Sunday at 3:30 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Born June 8, 1919, to B. A. Weathers and Nellie Estelle (Scarborough) Weathers, Margie spent her childhood and youth in Wendell, NC. She graduated from East Carolina Teacher's College in 1940 with a degree in Physical Education.Always a fun and lively girl, she caught the eye of WC "Bill" Clark Jr. of Greenville while she was at ECTC and they were married June 22, 1940. Bill enjoyed life as a tobacco auctioneer while Margie was a dedicated homemaker.In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Weathers Davis, her brother B.A. "Billy" Weathers, Jr. and her husband of 56 years, Bill Clark.She is survived by her son, WC "Billy" Clark (Nancy) of the home, daughters: Frances Wilfong (Robin), and Margie Harrington (Van) all of Kure Beach NC, Jeri Sue West of Carolina Beach NC and Becky Clark of Raleigh NC. Grandchildren: Rob Wilfong (Debbie) of Myrtle Beach SC, Missy W. Hasty (Chris) and Wil Wilfong (Elizabeth) all of Greenville, Ashley West of Greenville SC and Clarke West of Headland, AL, Linton West III(Jennifer) of St. Simons Is. GA, Marci H. Lindeen (Gabe) of Clayton NC, Tempe H. Chapman (Rick) and Leigh C. Snider (Alex) all of Raleigh, Bess Clark of Charleston SC, Kate Harrington of Louisville CO, Vee Harrington of Wilmington NC and 16 great-grand children.The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.Flowers will be appreciated and memorials gratefully accepted to Jarvis Memorial UMC Church Choir Fund, 510 S Washington St. Greenville NC 27858.Online condolences at www.wilkersonfuneralhome.com
