JORDAN Marion Pauline Kalvass Jordan, age 84 of Stratford died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her home. She was born in Bridgeport on January 21,1924 the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Edgeworth Peterson. She was the widow of Paul Kalvass and in 1990 was predeceased by her second husband William Jordan. Mrs. Jordan was a secretary for the Hawie Manufacturing Company for many years before her retirement almost 20 years ago. She was an active member of the Stratford Baptist Church and a member of the Oronoque Women's Bowling League. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Kalvass Santelle and her husband, Mickey of Venice, Fla.; granddaughter, Sandy Kosh and very special and much loved great-grandson, Kyle Kosh both of Milford. She is also survived by her sisters; Barbara Scholz of Montana, and Mary Cavallaro of Bridgeport, her brother Frank Peterson of Washington and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands she was predeceased by her brothers; Raymond, Edward, William, Robert, John and Henry Peterson, and sisters; Dorothy Katrenick, Eleanor Matera and Mildred Scholz. The family would like to extend a special thank you to VITAS Hospice, especially to Jane. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Stratford Baptist Church, Stratford with Rev. Dr. Robert Genevicz officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 at the Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
