ObituaryMarion E. Davis, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away on May 15, 2001. Born in Norwich, CT on Feb. 4, 1914, the daughter of Arthur and Matilda Sherman, she graduated from the Homeopathic Hospital of RI in 1983, obtaining her nursing diploma. She married Vernon R. Davis in 1939 and they resided in upstate NY until 1971 when they relocated to Fort Myers. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years in 1999 and her brother Carl Sherman in 2000. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Rick Goggin of Fort Myers; sister-in-laws, Mildred Sherman of MA and Helen Banden of NY; several nieces and nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held June 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Beverly Health & Rehabilitation Center at Coral Trace, 216 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral.
