Martin, Marilyn G. HALFMOON Marilyn G. Martin, age 75, of Halfmoon entered into eternal rest on Tuesday October 4, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Springfield, Mass. after a short illness. Born on September 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Freda and Alton Harris. She was predeceas-ed by her husband of 52 years, Robert R. Martin Sr, whom she cared for up until his passing in June of 2010. A lifelong resident of Halfmoon, she was a graduate of Shenendehowa Central School in 1955. She was a lifetime member of the Clifton Park United Methodist Church. She worked as a nurse at Leonard Hospital in Troy before moving to Shenendehowa Central Schools where she was a bus driver and lunch aide. She was an avid auto racing fan with her passion being a regular at the local speedways cheering on her many friends and favorites. She was also an animal lover, cherishing her many pets over the years. She is survived by daughter, Dawn Nelson of Cohoes; and sons, Robert Jr. (Tina) of Clifton Park, and Daniel (Cheryl) of Ballston Lake. She is also survived by grandsons, Michael Nelson of Mechanicville, Matthew Nelson of Cohoes, Robert L. Martin of Greenfield Center; and great-granddaughters, Erica Nelson of Cohoes, and Kendall Ackner; and stepgrandsons, Robert and Chad Hollner. She is also survived by many loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park, with a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Clifton Park Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clifton Park United Methodist Church, 10 Old Plank Rd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
