Marie Williams, 99, died June 14, 2010, at Hospice House. She was born in Beachton, Ga., and lived in Fort Pierce for 53 years, coming from her birth place. She moved to Atlanta in 1988. Before retirement, she was an entrepreneur for years as a manager of Williams Rooming house on Avenue C, Fort Pierce. She was a former member of Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church and its Usher Board No. 1 for more than 50 years. Survivors include her daughter, Ernestine Atkinson-Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; sister, Rosetta Kindred of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, the Rev. Arthur J. Atkinson; sister, Helen Cason; and three grandchildren. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. June 18 at Donald Trimble Mortuary in Decatur, Ga. A service will be at noon June 19 at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church in Decatur.
