WILLIAMS Marie (Madear) Williams, 82, was born June 23, 1923 in Sumner, Georgia. Surrounded with her loving family, she departed this life on August 12, 2005 in Community Hospice. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.E. Taylor until her illness. Homegoing celebration will be held in Springfield Christian Church, 25 West 9th Street, Rev. Coley Williams, Pastor along with Rev. D.D. Jennings, Pastor of First Samuel Baptist Church, Officiating at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2005. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. She is survived by her dearly beloved family; daughters, Shirley Winn, Delores W. Williams, Doris Williams, Patricia A. Williams and Freddie Johnson, Sr., Carlas D. Hodges; sons, James Williams, Jr.; grandchildren, Derrick Fields, Michael Griffin, Anthony K. Williams, Phyllis Winn, Reginald Williams, Kecia (Kirk) Ousley, Erika (Daryl) Hill, Regina Dozier, Vanessa Dozier (deceased), Andre' V. Williams, Sr., Allyson N. Williams, Eric D. Williams, Gwendolyn Dozier, Terrance Dozier, Frederick D. Johnson, Jr., Keandra W. (Kerry) Wright, Sean Winn, Antimette Williams, Tiffany (Damian) Pucker, Latasha (Kwadwo) Asafoadjei and Denise C. Hodges; 34 great grands; 4 great-great-grands and a host of cousins and other relatives and devoted friends. Viewing for Mrs. Williams will be Friday (TODAY) in the Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. The Cortege will assemble at 10:00 a.m. from 1362 Carvill Avenue. Interment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.
