Marie Stuart, 86, of McDonough, Ga., and formerly of Marietta and Tequesta, died Sunday, May 6. She was born in Lancaster, Pa. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tequesta, where she attended the Lamplighter Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading the Bible, doing word searches, working jigsaw puzzles, going to Bible studies, bowling, and traveling. Survivors include eight children, Barbara Baker and husband Edd of Chattanooga, Tenn., Jean Cook and husband Ed of Brazil, Patricia Wilder and husband Bill of Chattanooga, Lee Stuart of Stockbridge, Ga., Janet Pogue and husband Bobby of McDonough, Juanita Whitaker and husband Buddy of Tequesta, Mark Stuart and wife Mabel of Harrodsburg, Ky., and Theron Stuart of Atlanta; a sister, Nancy McAbee of Boca Raton; her former husband of 50 years, Leamond C. Stuart; 26 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Thursday, May 10, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in McDonough. The Rev. Tommy Kennedy officiated.
