BRISTOL - Marie R. (Cormier) Rioux, 90, widow of Clovis F. Rioux, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Ingraham Manor, Bristol. Marie was born in Lille, Maine, on Sept. 24, 1917, and was a daughter of the late Eloie and Ludivin (Fortin) Cormier. She resided in Bristol most of her life and, prior to retiring in 1981, she was employed at the Bristol Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol and the Ladies of St. Ann Society. Marie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David J. and Michele Rioux of Boise, Idaho and Donald S. and Becky Rioux of Edwards, Colo.; five daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Giovinazzo of Bristol, Janet and Bob Vine of Littleton, Colo., Margaret and Bill Stafford of Southington, Lorraine and Tom Zavorskas of Brooklyn, and Jeanine and David LaRue of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Wilbert Berger of East Hartford; one sister, Margaret White of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan 16, at 9 a.m., from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
