SANDERSON, Marie Lenore (nee Wolfe) - Peacefully, at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, on Monday, April 13, 2009, 2 days after celebrating her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of the late John Ernest Sanderson (1981). Survived by caring step-daughters Thelma (Hugh) Schomburg and Barbara (Paul 2002) Prince. Much loved “Grandma” to 6 grandchildren; Carla (Larry) Barnes, John (Jill) Schomburg, Hugh (Karen) Schomburg, Lori Duquette & partner Glen, Bev Lymburner, & Carol (Rich) Chapman; as well as 3 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren. Marie was a longtime member of the former Mary Hastings Free Press Club & committee member for Western Fair - Culinary Arts. Friends will be received at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday from 7-9pm & 1hr prior to the funeral service which will be held in the EVANS CHAPEL on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev'd Brian McKay officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice.
