Marie-Josee Gauthier WATERTOWN Marie-Josee Gauthier, 59, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, of complications related to pulmonary fibrosis. Marie-Josee was born and raised in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. She immigrated to Florida before moving to Massachusetts in 1982. Marie-Josee lived in Waltham for more than 20 years before moving to Watertown in 2006. During her time, she served in the Lords will working as a registered nurse, before retiring in 1999. Marie-Josee is survived by her daughters, Beatrice Adewole (Gauthier), Nathalie Gauthier and Claire Gauthier; son-in-law, Akintayo Adewole; her brothers, Henriot Jean-Baptiste, Herve Jean-Baptiste and Cety Barberousse; her sister, Nicole Brunache; her grandchildren, Olatunji, 6, Javon, 4, Folasade, 15 months, and Ifayola, two weeks; as well as countless extended family and friends. Marie-Josee was predeceased by her son, John Gauthier, her father, Ramses Barberousse, and her mother, Marcelle Jean-Baptiste (Cabeche). Services include a viewing Friday, May 2, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, May 3, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., at Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 3, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m., at Saint Jude Parish, 147 Main St., Waltham, and a reception following, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Sons of Italy, 99 Cedar St.., Waltham. At a later date, Marie-Josee's remains, along with those of her son and father, will be added to the resting place of her mother.
