Marie J. Anderson, 90, passed away peacefully March 23, 2014 surrounded by family at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Marie lived and worked in Leisureville, Pompano Beach, calling it home for over 30 years. Marie was a loving mother adored by her five children and their spouses, Ron (Rona) Pittsburgh, PA; Kathy Ball (George) Leesburg, FL; Donna Bowers (Bruce) St. Petersburg, FL; Judi Kuhner (Mike) Port St. Lucie, FL; and daughter-in-law, Julie Anderson, Boca Raton, FL. She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her sister, Helen Lorenti, Leisureville, Pompano Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Andy); son, Don, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Sandy Anderson; parents Nicholas and Anna DeMartino; sister, Kathleen Widmar; and brother, Bill DeMartino. At the request of her family a private military service (US Navy) honoring Marie will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie's name may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
