CHELSEA -- Marie F. Hall, 84, of Windsor Road died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 26, 2005, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Gray Birch in Augusta. Marie was born in Harpswell on Oct. 10, 1920, a daughter of Maxwell and Iola Liscomb Deshon. Marie was a graduate of Yarmouth Academy. She had been employed all her life in various shoe manufacturing plants in Brunswick, Freeport and her last employment, at Truitt Brothers in Gardiner. Marie was a member of the Wiscasset Yacht Club and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 4, Gardiner. When she was young, her father was a lighthouse keeper; she spent many years on the coast. She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Robert J. Hall of Chelsea; three sons, Joseph Peterson and his wife, Donna, of Harpswell, Vincent "Lucky" Oppedisano Sr. and his wife, Jenny, of Harpswell and Jason Hall and his wife, Jenny, of Melbourne, Fla.; six stepchildren, Scott Hall of Manchester, Steven Hall of Augusta, Shaun Hall of Chelsea, Stacia Hall of Oakland, Stephanie Hall of Bangor and Sarah Plante of Readfield; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Marie loved her family very much. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
