PORTLAND - Marie Beaudry Espinosa, 'Nana,' 85, of Portland, died Saturday, Mar. 12, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Portland.She was born on May 1, 1919 in Belldune River, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of James Beaudry and Mary Doucette Beaudry. She came to Portland with her family from Millinocket at the age of five, and attended Portland schools, graduating from Portland High School.Marie was retired from the National Bureau of Casualty Underwriters. Prior to that, Marie had worked at W.T. Grant Co. as the manager of the Toy Department, and at the Fanny Farmer Candy Store on Oak Street. Following her retirement, she had worked as a nanny and caregiver for area families.Marie enjoyed reading, and was especially fond of English History. In her younger years, she loved to dance.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Luis Espinosa, who died in 1965. Marie was also predeceased by a sister, Patricia Beaudry.Surviving is a daughter Jeanne Boyce and her husband Murray of North Yarmouth; two sisters, Frances Irvine of Palmdale, Calif., and Theresa Hunter and her husband Delbert of Safety Harbor, Fla.; a brother, James Beaudry of Biddeford Pool; two grandchildren, Daniel Scott Boyce of Peabody, Mass., and Laura Mary Boyce of North Yarmouth; and several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Sacred Heart Church in Yarmouth.. Burial will be at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
