Marian L. Miller, 80, Sarasota, died Aug. 31, 2005. She was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Indianapolis and came to Sarasota in 1981 from Terre Haute, Ind. She retired as a librarian after 15 years with the Manatee County School System. She received a master's degree from Indiana State University and was a Methodist. Survivors include daughters Karen Goda of Terre Haute and Lisa Fisher of Carmel, Ind.; sons J.B. Fisher of Atlanta and Richard Sowers of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Carol Smith of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Jim Adami of Sarasota; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services and burial will be in Terre Haute. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
