MANNING-CARON, Marguerite Rose Amy (nee Lemieux) Marguerite went to be with our Lord after a lengthly illness, peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Ottawa Civic hospital. Predeceased by her husband Ed, loving mother of Brian (Joanne) of Edmonton, Hugh (David) of Chicago and special daughter Karen of Winnipeg. Devoted Nana of Aynsley and Christopher, of Edmonton. Dear sister of Cecile Mager of Winnipeg. Marguerite will be forever remembered and cherished by her extended family. Loving partner of 16 years to Marcel Caron, supported by his son Richard (Donna) and daughter Madeleine (Dennis Barette), and granddaughters Jennifer Caron (Sean Robillard) and Chantale Caron, and Valerie Barette, all in Ottawa. Born July 19, 1923 in Belleview, MB, Marguerite spent her formative years in Maryfield, Sk and Timmins, On. After marrying Edwin in 1946, they owned and managed hotels in Port Dover, On and Transcona, Mb. In 1972, Marguerite was the first hostess/coordinator of Manitoba Farm Vacations. With her charming personality and contagious enthusiasm, she led many tour groups to different parts of the world. She was honoured with the Canadian Silver Tourism Medallion in 1982 for her outstanding contributions to Manitoba's tourist industry. Marguerite was also actively involved with Direct Action in Support of Community Homes - DASCH. In memoriam donations to DASCH, 3059 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Mb. R3K 0W4 appreciated. Memorial service of thanksgiving for the life of Marguerite will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Holy Redeemer, 44 Rothsay Dr., Kanata, 836-1764.
