FLEMING, MargueriteThe family of Marguerite Fleming (Stauffer) announces the peaceful passing of their mother, grandmother and great- grandmother on November 7, 2011. Marguerite reached the milestone age of 100 years and recently recognized this achievement with her family and friends.Marguerite was born in Stettler, Alberta on October 24, 1911. She attended Camrose Normal School for training to be a teacher and moved to Topland, Alberta at the age of 18 to begin her teaching career. She resided in the area for her remaining years and was devoted to education and community development. Throughout her life she enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. Her hobbies included quilting, knitting, needle point and crocheting.Marguerite is predeceased by her husband, Roy Fleming, her parents Abe and Anna Stauffer, and three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sons and their spouses Robert (Theresa) of Fort Assiniboine, David (Joan) of Calgary, and Gordon (Edna) of Calgary; also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be held November 12, 1:00 p.m. at the Topland Hall followed by interment at the Topland Cemetery Reverend David Pype officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Topland Cemetery Society, Topland Community Association or Fort Assiniboine Seniors Drop-In Society, c/o 10004 - 105 Street, Westlock, AB T7P 1V2.
