FLEMING, Marguerite Elizabeth(nee Edwards)May 19, 1924 – Melfort, SK March 6, 2014 – Calgary, ABMarguerite Elizabeth Fleming of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Marguerite came into this world with a natural affinity for life, embracing all it has to offer. Her happy years, growing up on the farm, cultivated her strong independent spirit. This led to wonderful experiences of travel and practicing her beloved profession of nursing. Margie nurtured countless people with her warm hugs, home baking, and cozy, hand knit sweaters. Margie's many joys included music, and playing bridge with her friends, which was a passion that spanned for more than fifty years. She was most content surrounded by her family. She is deeply loved and will be missed by many. Margie is survived by daughters Shauna (Paul), Maureen and Monica (Rob), daughter-in-law Wendy (Gord), ten grandchildren Christopher, Kathleen, Carolyn, Heather, Liam, Aubrey, Ryan, Sean, Kaya and Colleen, and great-granddaughter Brooklyn. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Francis John Fleming in May 2005, and son Denis Edward Fleming in July 2005. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (5340 - 4 Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service will be held at the Eden Brook Memorial Gardens following the reception.
