Marguerite E. Michaud DOVER - Marguerite Elizabeth Michaud, 91, of Langdon Place, Dover, passed away on January 12, 2013, after a period of failing health. She was born on February 20, 1921, in Dover, the daughter of Annie (McGuiness) Nadeau and Joseph D.S. Nadeau. Marguerite graduated from Somersworth High School in 1939 and immediately was hired by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later, she transferred to Pease Air Force Base where she worked as an accountant until retirement. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Michaud, in 1976. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Harvey, Valmore, and Malcolm Nadeau, and two sisters, Beatrice Couture and Catherine Turcotte. Marguerite was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, music, and needlework. She enjoyed spending many hours tending her gardens. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Chasse, and husband Robert, of Apex, NC, her son, Stephen Michaud and wife Rebecca of Seattle, Wash., as well as a sister, Annabel Donnelly of Somersworth. She is also survived by five grandsons: Patrick Michaud, Eric Chasse, Adam Chasse, Benjamin Chasse and Jeffrey Chasse, and six great grandchildren: Drew, Ryan, Sean, Cooper, Cameron, and Lucia. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the spring at St. Mary's Church in Dover. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Somersworth.
