On Saturday, September 7, 2013, Mom passed away at the Palliative Care Unit at NRGH. Marguerite was born in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan to Jay and Jesse Coflin on September 15, 1919 the second of nine children. She graduated from St. Paul's School of Nursing in 1940. She married the late Frederick Stuart in 1947. After a long career as an OR Nurse and the CSR Head Nurse Marguerite retired from NRGH in 1983. In Retirement she enjoyed reading, bird watching, numerous trips to Hawaii, and walks to the waterfront with friend Vi Aldred. Marguerite is survived by her sister Kay Meraw and brother Hugh (Pat) Coflin; her 5 children: Anne Decock, John Stuart, Colleen Stuart, Jim (Maureen) Stuart, Alice (Mohamed) Elquindy; 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Aaron, Nadia, Summar, Taylor, Lauren and many nieces and nephews. Mom will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her last months were truly made easier thanks to the support and kindness of the Community Home Support team. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, September 13, at 11 AM. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
