A celebration of the life of Margaret Wilson Harris, longtime resident of Panama City, Fla., was held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dr. Ray E. McFuen was the celebrant. Margaret, who died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Donald F. Harris, whom she married in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., when he was serving as a captain in the Army Corps of Engineers. In 1969, Don was ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church, and he served in several areas until his death in 1985. An energentic and vibrant woman, Margaret worked for the Bay County Council on Aging for many years. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she was an enthusiastic football fan. She also enjoyed playing bridge, the beach and, of course, her church. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Susan Harris; several cousins; and many friends.
