MARGARET WILLIAMS In loving memory of Margaret Williams, 77, of Emo, Ont., who passed away Saturday, May 26, 2001 at the Emo Hospital. Peggy will be greatly missed by her husband, Wesley; sons, Brian (Christine), Roger, Ralph (Sandra), and Bruce (Helen); grandchildren, Sherri, Owen, Christopher, Kurt, Matthew, Katherine, Sarah, and Erin; sister, Barbara (Ernie) McLeod; sister-in-law, Laura Jewett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Harriet; sister, Marjorie Colley and her husband, Charles; brother-in-law, Carl Thezenvitz and his wife, Muriel; sister-in-law, Dorothy Brannan and her husband, Thaddeus; and brother-in-law, Laverne Jewett. Peggy was born April 13, 1924 in Path Head District in Manitoba. She was united in marriage to Wesley on Aug. 22, 1947 and together they settled in the Emo area. She taught school in North Branch prior to her marriage and after the boys were older, she taught in Stratton and Devlin. Peggy was a woman who liked to keep busy--she babysat in their home; ran a kindergarten class at the Knox United Church in Emo; and sorted mail in the mornings at the local post office. She was a 20-year member of the Emo Library Board, serving as president at one time, a long-time member of the Emo Knox United Church, and as secretary for 10 years for the United Church Women (and president for two years). She taught Sunday School, and also was a member of the Emo Women’s Institute. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Emo. Rev. Frances Flook will officiate, with interment in the Emo Cemetery in Emo. At Margaret’s request, no visitation will be held. Pallbearers will be William Neilson, Carman Neilson, Garnett Neilson, Alex Ogden, Ted Corrigan, and Dan Wilson. Honourary pallbearers will be Bessie McComb, Cecelia McComb, Marg Woollard, Marg Leveridge, Dorothy Mitchell, and Marg Jewell. If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to Riverside Health Care Facilities--Emo Hospital, 260 Front St., Emo, Ont., or to Knox United Church, P.O. Box 186, Emo, Ont., P0W 1E0.
