WHEELER, Margaret Jeanette (nee Smith) December 27, 1916 - June 24, 2010 Margaret Wheeler of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the age of 93 years. Margaret was born and raised on the family homestead near Sanctuary, SK. She married Mervyn on June 30, 1941 and they farmed in Saskatchewan. They moved to Calgary in 1952 and continued farming. She enjoyed a long life of quilting and other crafts as well as being an active member of Pleasant Heights United Church. Margaret is survived by four daughters, Glenda Milligan, Karon Wheeler, Joanne Erickson, and Deborah (Bob) Gilchrist; three grandsons, Ryan (Cynthia) Scott, Adam (Rachael) Erickson, and Steven Erickson; and seven great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Mervyn Wheeler on February 14, 2006 following sixty-four years of marriage. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
