HOWATT, Margaret Sybil The death occurred at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Thursday, September 4, 2008 of Sybil Howatt (nee Paquet), formerly of Cornwall and Borden, age 96 years. Sybil was the wife of the late Ralph Clinton Howatt; the beloved mother of Faye (Barry) O’Donnell, Winnipeg, Manitoba and Beverley (Gerald) Arsenault of Niagara Falls, Ontario; grandmother of Tracy O’Donnell, Leona (Tom) Rees, Shannon Howatt and Thomas Hoopola; and great-grandmother of Jasmine, Amber and Robin O’Donnell; Raeanna and Alexandra Rees; and Chad Howatt. She is survived by her nephew, Barrie MacWilliams, who was her main support; numerous other nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lorraine Gillan. Beside her husband, Clint, she was predeceased by her two sons, Alfred “Bonnie” and Philip; her parents, Captain Alfred B. and Theresa Paquet; her brother, Captain Thomas Paquet; and her sisters, Bridget Lindsay, Agnes Woodside, Mildred Kelley and Anne Gaudet. Resting at the Father Claire Macdonald Lounge of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall for visitation on Monday, September 8, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Martin’s and St. Francis Cemetery, Cumberland.
