RAVENA Margaret Southard Smith, 89, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at St. Peter's Hospital. Margaret was born and lived all her life in Ravena. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Ravena and Senior Projects of Ravena. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Earl Smith, her daughter, Barbara Hartmann and son-in-law, Richard Hartmann. Survivors include her niece, Janet Peterson and grandniece, Susan Peterson, both of Cornwall, N.Y. She was the beloved friend and extended family member of the Schermerhorn and Taylor families. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will take place at a later date.
