Margaret-Ruth Smith, née en 1925, conjointe de Everold Smith, est décédée.
SMITH, Margaret Ruth (nee Dunstan) May 2, 1925 - May 6, 2014 Margaret (Marg) was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1925 and passed away peacefully at Parkwood Retirement Home on May 6 after a brief illness with esophageal cancer. She celebrated her 89 birthday a week ago Friday. Margaret was deceased by her loving husband Everold (Ev) on November 16, 1995. Left to cherish in her memory are her devoted children, Beverley (Lorne) Ridout, Bill (Donna), Bob (Connie), Barbara (Glen) Clements, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother William (Bill) Dunstan and special friend , Mary Haggard. Margaret was blessed with the opportunity to be a stay home mother and raise her four children. She was known for her quick sense of humour, the endless sweaters and afghans she would knit while carrying on a conversation and not missing a stitch, and the love she had for the sport of curling. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Ross McKay and the staff at Parkwood Manor for their devoted time and assistance to ensure Mom was comfortable and well cared for during her final weeks. Those who knew her, loved her. She will be truly missed. Her spirit will live on forever in our souls and hearts. At Marg's request there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. "Listen closely and watch with open eyes, for angels walk among us. I know this to be true, because we were raised by you".
