-> Margaret Russell Carter, 88 died at Fairhaven Assisted Living in Brunswick Georgia, Saturday, September 3, 2005. A native of Dublin, she had resided in Savannah since 1921. She retired in 1980 from Chatham County, where she served as key punch supervisor, data processing division for Chatham County and the City of Savannah. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Savannah where she served for a time as deacon. She was a member of Amity Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include one son, Thomas B. Scott Jr. and daughter in law, Gwen P. Scott of Brunswick, two grandsons, Gregory T. Scott and wife, Lisa of Warrenton, VA., Russell H. Scott and wife Tami of Destin, FL and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Virgil Hinson, Bill Jones, Jimmy Veal, Mike Battle, Keith Josey and Adam Newman. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Staff of Fairhaven Assisted Living Center, Hospice of the Golden Isles and Dr. Charles H. Usher. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel in Savannah with the Rev. Bill Ligon of Christian Renewal Church, Brunswick officiating. The family will received friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr., Savannah.
