EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Margaret Regina Murphy, 65, of Evans, beloved wife of Mr. Edward Murphy, entered in to rest Sunday, August 22, 2004, at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted from the Graveside on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Noonday, at the Bellevue Memorial Park. Mrs. Murphy was born in Brooklyn, New York and was retired as a Clerk at the Wall Street Stock Exchange. She was previously employed with the registrar's office at Nassau Community College. Mrs. Murphy was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, the A.A.R.P. and Senior Friends. She was also a member of the New York Club. She formed the first Neighborhood Watch program and was active with the Welcome Committee in the Farmington subdivision. Mrs. Murphy was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a way of making her presence known and was always there when needed. Her husband said that her smile would carry you through the toughest of times . Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Donald Murphy of Perrysburg, Ohio and Edward R. Murphy of Grand Rapids, Ohio; one daughter, Kim Murphy Thompson of Evans; four grandchildren, Jessica and Cash Thompson and Travis and Brittney Murphy. The Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Funeral Home prior to the service. The family will receive friends following the Rosary at the funeral home until service time.
