Harris, Margaret R. TROY Margaret (Sis) Prefore Harris, 91, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness. Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Harkins Prefore, and the wife of the late William Harris. She formerly had resided in Syracuse and Fla. She was formerly employed by Cluett and Peabody. She was a communicant of St. Michael's the Archangel Church in Troy. Margaret was an avid Yankee fan, enjoyed going on cruises and was a former breeder of prized Boxers. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Prefore and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Mary Bell, Charles Prefore, Leo "Bucky" Prefore, Anne Jones, Isabelle Bessmer, Ellen Lanzetta, Joan O'Brien and Paul Prefore. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the John H. Clinton Funeral Home, Washington Park and Third Street, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Williams Road, Troy. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
