Athens - Margaret Peggy Hartman of Athens died Thursday, July 5, 2007. Mrs. Hartman was born in Mystic, Iowa to Melvin and Flora Printy. She was the wife of the late Willard R. Bob Hartman, retired naval commander. She retired in 1997 after serving 20 years as Probate Judge for Clarke County.Survivors are daughter Edith Coley of Athens, son Bill Hartman and wife Judy of Comer, son Chuck Hartman and wife Nancy of Atlanta, son Jim Hartman and wife Carol of Atlanta, son Jeff Hartman and wife Susan of Gainesville, son Randall Hartman and wife Carlotta of Tucson, Arizona, grandchildren, Christine Coley McCommons, Meg Hartman and Samantha Hartman, great-grandchildren, Neely, Bennett and Banks McCommons, Dylan Willett, sister Bernice King.Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Oconee Hill Cemetery with Dr. Jon Appleton officiating.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Embracing Hospice, 2160 Fountain Dr., Snellville, Ga. 30078 or to the Alzheimers Association, 1925 Century Blvd., Atlanta, Ga. 30345.Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
