MURPHY Margaret "Peggy" (nee Seckett), 85, of Emerson, NJ, formerly of Bronx, NY passed away on November 1, 2008. Beloved wife of Walter Murphy. Survived by her children and spouses; Marilyn Murphy of Carbondale, CO, Walter and Barbara Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Robert and Sylvia Murphy of Montgomery, NY, Raymond and Tina Murphy of Panama City Beach, FL and William and Mary Alice Murphy of Richmond, VA. Loving grandmother of Kevin, Corey, and Tyler Hartman, Elizabeth and Samuel Murphy, Kevin and Jeffrey Murphy, Amy and Sean Oxley, and Megan, Molly, Emma and Katherine Murphy. Great-grandmother of Keegan Akins.Mrs. Murphy was born in West Hoboken, NJ and raised in Bronx, NY. She graduated from Walton HS in Bronx, NY and was a long-time resident of Emerson, NJ. She retired from AT&T after a 33 year career in New York and New Jersey. She was a parishioner of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Emerson, NJ and a member of the Rosarians. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club, an active member of Emerson Seniors Club and volunteer for Meals on Wheels.Viewing will be at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Liturgy will be at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 29 Jefferson Ave, Emerson, NJ on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:30 AM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Assumption Roman Catholic Church of Emerson, NJ.
