Margaret Moody Ramsey Margaret Moody "Meg" Ramsey, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007. She was the widow of Col. David M. Ramsey Jr. The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday at Holy Cross Anglican Church, worshipping at Community Christian School, 4859 Kerry Forest Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation on Meg's behalf be made to a favorite charity.Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel (850-893-4177) is handling arrangements. She was a very active and supportive military wife. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Retired Officers Association. She served as president, as well as secretary, of the Officer's Wives Club over the years.She was a Red Cross volunteer for many years, a Crisis Center volunteer and Meals On Wheels volunteer for 15 years. She was on the Governor's Council for substance abuse. She helped activate the first detox/halfway house in Tallahassee. She was a retired nurse. Over the years she was a Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Brownie leader.In South Carolina, she was active in Acts of Caring, a free clinic for those who couldn't afford health insurance. She was a member of Holy Cross Anglican Church and a Daughter of the King. Her son, David M. Ramsey, III, resides in Sylva, N.C., with his family. Her daughter, Chollet Ramsey, resides at St. George Island, Fla. There are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Her beloved Kimi has already found a loving home.
