MILLER Margaret (Skene) Miller, age 71, of Stratford, beloved wife of James F. Miller, entered eternal life Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Miller was born November 25, 1933, in Kensington, daughter of the late William and Julia (Burns) Skene, and had been a Stratford resident since 1943. Survivors in addition to her husband, include her son, Timothy Skene and his wife, Patricia, of Stratford; her two daughters, Elizabeth Miller and her husband, Joseph Kodz, of Simsbury, and Kathleen Waddington and her husband, Craig, of Granby; two brothers, Richard Skene, of Huntington and Gerald Skene, of Ludlow, Vt.; two sisters, Lois McDonald and Mary Ellen Pinto, of Stratford; eight grandchildren, Lyndsey, Jennifer and Andrew Waddington, Matthew, Alexa and Erynn Miller, John Olson and Timothy Kodz; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Skene. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper for Wm. A. Skene Company, Fairfield Country Day School and Colonial Realty. She ran the Stratford Tennis Program for Woman and was an avid tennis player and fan. Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass of Christian Burial, by meeting directly in Saint Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, on Wednesday, June 29, at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Association, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06611.
