MILLER, Margaret Ethel (nee Early) January 24, 1917 - January 19, 2007 Beloved wife of the late Melvin John Wesley Miller, survived by two sons and one daughter; Douglas (Peggy) of London, Ont., two granddaughters Julie Walker (Mark) and Andrea Miller, two great-grandchildren, Emma Walker and Madison Walker, her son Donald of Toronto, her daughter Moreen (Kevin Trimble), two step-grandsons Kyle Trimble and Nigel Trimble, all of Alton, Ont. Ethel was predeceased by her brothers Ken (Gertrude) of Renfrew, John (Olive) of Pakenham, Dan (Mary) of Inglewood, Allan (Floretta) of Alton, and Bob (Darlene) of Brampton, and her sisters Jean McLean (Clayton) of Renfrew, Nora Peavoy (Kenny) of Alton, and Mina Dundas (Jim) of Welland. Ethel is also survived by 28 nieces and nephews and their families, and her lifelong friend Dorothy Van Winckel of Port Moody, British Columbia. Ethel's life was full of family, friends, travel, much hard work and many accomplishments. She was a loving mother, a supportive sibling and a loyal friend. Her skills at the bridge table were legendary, as was her love of Canadian football. She will be remembered lovingly by her family and friends, and she is now at peace. A reception to celebrate Ethel's life will be held on Saturday, January 27 from 2 to 4 pm at Dods & McNair Funeral Home & Chapel, 21 First Street, Orangeville, Ontario ( www.dodsandmcnair.com ). Donations in Ethel's memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Headwaters Health Care Foundation (Palliative Care), Orangeville, Ontario. A tree will be planted in memory of Ethel in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9th, 2007 at 2:30 p.m.
