Peters: Margaret May Peters. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Margaret May Peters on February 27, 2002 at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Mom was born on May 28, 1935 to John and Avnell Sproule, she spent her childhood and teen years in the Erindale area which is now Mississauga. On October 1, 1955 she married Thomas Albert Peters. They had five Children. They spent many years operating a dairy farm in the Durham area. When times got tough the family moved out west, living in many towns where employment was available. Mom was always able to make a warm, loving home out of nothing and a hearty meal with very little. Eventually the family ended up in the Drumheller Valley in 1976 where Dad worked at the Institution. Mom worked in many venues, Claire's Fashions, Tipple Inn, Sunshine Lodge, Saan Stores, and the Co-op Bakery. In October of 1986 our Dad passed away, and Mom busied herself with her family and grandchildren. Mom enjoyed her "posies", crocheting, crafting with grandchildren, cross stitch, coffee with her special friends and her family. Every child and grandchild has something special from her to hold close. Mom was totally devoted to her family, and she remains the bravest woman we will ever know and as her children we will always love her and she will live on in our hearts. Mom was predeceased by her husband Tom, infant daughter Dawn, grandma Matilda, infant grandson Cain, and infant sister Vera. Our mom will be deeply missed by her parents John and Avnell Sproule of Mississauga; her children Len (Linda) Peters of Strathmore, Lance (Maureen) Peters of Walsh, Lynn (Dale) Goulder of Drumheller, Lisa (Darryl) Jacques of Drumheller, chosen daughter, Allison Fredrickson of Drumheller; her 12 grandchildren, Bridgette, Logan, Jess, Brandee, Lucas, Matthew, Sarah, Ayrianna, Leland, Samantha, Dallas, Brady; her great-granddaughter Lisa; her sisters Alison (Walt) Dicks, Susan (Robert) Sillars; her sister-in-law, Fran Peters; her brother-in-law Ted (Helen) Peters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. Funeral Services will be held at St. Magloire's Anglican Church on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Florence McDonald officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment will take place in Mississauga, Ontario at a later date. Donations in Margaret's memory may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society (200, 1301 - 8 Street SW, Calgary, AB, T2R 1B7), or the Alberta Lung Association (Box 4700, Stn.
