BARNHART, Margaret Mary (Gonzalez) - Went peacefully to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Harold for 53 years. Loving mother of Michael (Cathy), Marlene (Jay), Karen, and Elaine (David) McGilvray. Dear grandmother of Sandy, Michael, Matt, Riley and Clancy. Great grandmother of Hunter, Cohen and Ella. Sister of Louis (Ethel), Louise (Clifford) Booker, Robert (late Maria), Paul (Lois), Alice, and the late Raymond (Jeanne), late Charles and late Edward. Sister-in-law of Dorothy (late Vernon) Buchner, Grace (Charles) MacMillan, Muriel (Joseph) Gorman, Judy (Duane) Rutley, Richard (Monique) Barnhart and the late Helen (Michael) Poirier. Marg was a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Church in Thorold and a member of the Catholic Women's League. Mom's gentle reminders and guiding hand will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm with the CWL present. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (21 Queen St. S., Thorold) on Monday, May 25th at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
