MARGARET MacLEAN-WADE Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, "Margie" died on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Garth S. Wade. Dear sister of Mary Sutton (Murray) and sister-in-law of Helen MacLean. Fondly remembered by Garth's children Mark S. Wade, Joan Fotopoulos (John) and son- in-law Berkeley and predeceased by his daughter Donna. She enjoyed her role as Grandma to Garth's grandchildren Jeni, Michael and Alex and his 5 great-grandchildren. Proud aunt of Lynne Quinlan (Michael), Sharon Masse (Ron), Kathy MacLean (Michael Zidel), Dan Sutton (Janice) and David Sutton (Jeanne). Margie was a nurturing great-aunt to all of their children. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Winnifred MacLean and brothers Angus, Francis and Gerald MacLean. Margie will be fondly remembered by her friends in the Grey Sisters Community, her many colleagues and graduates of the nursing program at Sault Ste. Marie College and her good friends of the CWL. With a Masters degree in Nursing, she enjoyed a long and rewarding career in Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto, specializing in oncology. Margie's journey these last few months was enriched by the kindness of many close friends, especially Kristie and Steve, Mike and Mina, and Jane. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Butler" Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 122 Rathburn Rd., Toronto, on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery . If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
