Margaret M. Age 84, of Tioga, PA, died August 30, 2004, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born April 11, 1920 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of John & Grace Sandridge Smoot. Margaret was formerly employed by Broad Acres Nursing Home and was a member of the Tioga Tabernacle Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Maxine Clark of Lawrenceville, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Button of Tioga, PA; a sister, Ivy Monroe of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Robert Proffitt of Madison Heights, VA; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Lynk in 1991; four sons, Craige, Charles, Henry and Arthur; three sisters, Rose, Ruth, and Florence Proffitt; a brother, George Proffitt; and two grandsons, Ryan and Robert Clark. Friends are invited to call at the Gary Wilston Funeral Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield, PA, Thursday 11 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will follow there Thursday at noon with the Rev.
