Morris, Margaret Lynette EAST GREENBUSH Margaret Lynette Morris, 96, of East Greenbush, died peacefully at home on January 20, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude Voneta Patterson and Frederick Joseph Kendrick. She was a graduate of St. Peter's Hospital School of Nursing and worked for many years at St. Peter's Hospital. Margaret is survived by her children, Margaret Morris McCullough, Frederick K. (Deborah) Morris, Mary Rose Morris, Kevin J. (Kathleen) Morris, Judith A. Morris, Mark E. (Debra) Morris, and Michael T. (Marion) Morris, and her adoptee - Marcia Ringelmann, as well as 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister-in-law, Tina Morris. She was predeceased in 1997 by her devoted and loving husband, Edward J. Morris, Sr.; in 2002 by her first born son, Edward J. Morris, Jr.; and in 2013 by her brother-in-law and companion of 15 years, John E. Morris. Margaret was a woman of quiet faith and strong resilience. She never sought the spotlight, yet was the center of everything that was important to her family. She carried herself with grace and dignity. With a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face she would regale us with poetry and song and we would watch enthralled as she and Dad "cut a rug" across the dance floor. We will miss her dearly but will celebrate her life so very well-lived, and cherish the gift she was to each of us. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, 162 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014. Calling hours will be Friday, January 24, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at W.J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Wolff and his staff, and Robin Bridgeford, hospice nurse, for their compassionate care.
