Margaret Louise Allison Gaffney, SC-- Ms. Margaret Louise Allison, 86, formerly of 1224 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Peachtree Centre, 1434 North Limestone Street, in Gaffney, SC. Ms. Allison was born June 3, 1924, in Gaffney, SC, the daughter of the late Landrum Allison and the late Lillie Allen Allison. She was formerly employed by the Limestone Manufacturing Company as a battery filler, and was a member of Kirby Memorial Baptist Church in Gaffney. She is survived by a son, Dean Allison and wife Melissa of Gaffney; a niece, Shirley Proctor of Gaffney; great-nephews, Loy Proctor, Jr. and Mike Proctor, both of Gaffney; and great-niece, Lori Philips. Ms. Allison was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a sister, Evelyn Proctor of the home. Visitation will held at the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel (Downtown Location), 211 East Frederick Street, Gaffney, on Sunday, February 27, 2011, from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM. Funeral Services for Ms. Allison will be held following the visitation, on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 3:00 PM in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Chapel, 211 East Frederick Street, conducted by the Rev. Mike Proctor and the Rev. Rich Lancaster. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens, 986 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney, SC, following the service. Donations may be made to the Peachtree Centre, 1424 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340. The family will be at her son's home, 124 Timber Street (Lake Whelchel), Gaffney.
