Margaret L. Simpson 1912-2007 MIRAMICHI - Margaret Leona Simpson, widow of the late Randolph Simpson, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Victoria Avenue, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at the age of 94. Born in Newcastle, on December 23, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet (Williston) Craig. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of the U.C.W. of St. Andrews United Church; a former member of the Earl of Chatham Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Miramichi. She was a former employee of the W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd as well as the Irving Oil Co. Ltd., employed as a bookeeper. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Rich (Bill), of Regina, Sask.; one son, Craig Simpson (Nancy), of Miramichi; four grandchildren, Tiffany and Christian Weagle and Scott and Mark Simpson. She was predeceased by her husband, Randolph; four sisters, Lois Craig, Shirley Craig, Kathleen Till, and Florence DeMerchant; one brother, Warren Craig. By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at 2:30 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in the Miramichi Cemetery, Miramichi. A reception with the family will follow in St. Lukes Hall, at St. Andrews United Church. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews United Church, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
