Margaret L. (Kjellander) Johnsonof Townsend; 96 TOWNSEND -- Margaret L. (Kjellander) Johnson, 96, formerly of Dudley Road and School Street, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, Chelmsford.Her husband, Kauko T. Johnson, died in June 1984.Mrs. Johnson was born in Quincy, May 22, 1916, a daughter of Hjalmar and Greta (Anderson) Kjellander and moved to Townsend in 1948.She worked many years in the transportation department at Fort Devens, retiring in 1966. Prior to that she was one of the original employees of New England Business Service in Townsend.She attended Christ Church-Episcopal in Fitchburg and St. David's Church in Pepperell. She was a member of the Gardner Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Stan "Buddy" and Barbara Johnson of North Chelmsford, Richard J. and Joan Johnson of Tavares, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy A. and Donald Watson of Yarmouthport; a sister, Ruth Dietz of Milford, CT; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.JOHNSON -- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Townsend Center.A visitation period will be Thursday from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
