Kelly, MargaretMargaret Dorothy Wallace Kelly, 86, of Manchester. Connecticut, formerly of Bronx, New York, died peacefully in her sleep on April 19, 2014, at Milford Health and Rehab Center in Milford, CT. Born January 21, 1928 in New York, New York she is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Wallace of New York, New York, brothers Robert and William, and her late husband of 45 years, Martin G. Kelly of Manchester, Connecticut. Margaret (also known as "Marge" by her family) was a homemaker, child day care provider and banking secretary during her lifetime. She was known for her remarkable kindness, sense of humor, positive attitude and friendliness. Her love for animals was bested by her love for her family. Survivors include her son, Martin P. Kelly and wife Michelle of Milford, CT. Grandson Sean P. Kelly and wife Maura of Kirkland, WA. Sisters Marie Wallace Pollock of New York, New York and Dorothy Wallace Horan of Flushing, Queens, and nephews' Thomas and Joseph Horan. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, CT. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery 360 Broad Street, Manchester, CT. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
