Margaret "Boo" Johnson, 67, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Monday, April 14 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was formerly employed as an insurance investigator with Crumm and Forester Insurance for more than 30 years until retiring in 1997. She was a member of Thomas Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in Watertown, NY. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elizabeth and James Johnson; and one sister, Anna Singleton. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Eloise Currie and Loretha Baums (Rev. Roosevelt); and one brother, James "Candy" Johnson (Linda), all of Syracuse; a host of loving nieces and nephews, including Michelle Matthews-Berry of Charlotte, NC; cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 10 to noon at People's A.M.E. Zion Church, 2306 S. Salina St., with funeral services to follow at noon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Date of Death: April 14, 2014
