LOCATELLI, Margaret Isabel (nee Donovan) Margaret Isabel Locatelli (nee Donovan), 88, died peacefully on July 1, 2007 in Parksville, BC. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty years Carl Recardo. Carl and Isabel had three daughters who survive them with their families: Carol Anne, her husband Bob Faulkner, children Tracey and Carl Faulkner, Robyn, and son-in-law Michael Thomas, and great-grandchildren Eden and Nyssa Thomas; Jeannie Locatelli and her children Rory, Zoe and Miranda Cobb; Annette Richards and her son Anthony. Isabel was predeceased by all four of her siblings. Born in Nelson, BC, Isabel was raised in Nelson and Grand Forks, where throughout her childhood, and as a young adult, she excelled as an athlete in softball and track. Carl and Isabel were married in Nelson, and raised their girls there until 1960 when they moved to Victoria. Isabel was an active member of the Uplands Golf and Country Club. She also loved playing the piano, salmon fishing and gardening. A "Memorial Tea" will be held at the Uplands Golf Club, Wednesday, July 11 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in her name to the BC Cancer Foundation or the BC Parkinson's Disease Association.
